What Saturn Ops is and what you need before your first transaction.

Set up a wallet

In shortSaturn Ops is where you use Saturn DEX. You need a wallet, a little SOUL and some KCAL, and every action is a transaction you sign yourself.

v3 and v4

Saturn Ops is the control room for Saturn DEX on the Phantasma blockchain. From one place you can swap tokens, provide liquidity and earn the fees, borrow against your liquidity, lend to others, stake tokens for a share of trading fees, launch a token, and publish on Aetherpost.

Everything you do here is a transaction on the chain, signed by your own wallet. Saturn Ops never holds your money. When you close the tab, nothing is left behind except what the chain already recorded.

Two networks

The switch in the top bar picks the network. Mainnet is the real one, where tokens have value. Devnet is a test network with play tokens, useful for trying a product before you commit real funds. Balances, pools and positions are separate on each.

Two generations of the exchange

Saturn v4 is the current exchange, where every pool has its own owner and fee. Saturn v3 is the older single-contract exchange, still live with its own pools. The 'all versions' switch in the top bar decides whether pages show both, only v4 or only v3. Swaps look across both and take whichever gives you more.

What you need

  • A wallet. The built-in passkey wallet lives in your browser and signs with Touch ID, Face ID or your device PIN. Wallets that support Phantasma wallet link also work.
  • KCAL for gas. Almost every action costs a fraction of one KCAL. The exception is creating a liquidity pool, which mints your ownership certificate and costs about 2,500 KCAL on mainnet.
  • A little SOUL. Phantasma charges a small data fee in SOUL on every transaction. Keep at least 1 SOUL in the wallet or transactions fault after they are sent.
  • The token you want to use. TAZ for lending and Aetherpost, the pair tokens for a pool, and so on.

Before it asks for a signature, Saturn Ops checks that the wallet can cover the gas for that action and tells you in plain words if it cannot. A message that starts with 'The node rejected the transaction' is the chain speaking, and it always says why.

A sensible first hour

  1. Open Wallet and create a passkey wallet. Write down the recovery key it shows you once.
  2. Send it some SOUL and KCAL from an exchange or another wallet.
  3. Open Swap and trade a small amount to see how quotes and slippage work.
  4. Read the guide for the product you care about, then try it on devnet if you want a dry run.
