Creating a token

Mint a new token to your own wallet in two signatures.

In shortName it, pick a supply, sign twice. The whole supply lands in your wallet, and a pool is what makes it tradeable.

  1. Give it a name and a symbol. The symbol is 3 to 15 capital letters and must be unused on the chain.
  2. Add a description and, if you like, a website and an icon. The icon is shrunk to 64 by 64 pixels and stored on the chain itself, so keep it simple.
  3. Choose the supply to mint, from the presets or a custom number. It all goes to your wallet.
  4. Decide whether to cap the maximum supply at that amount. Capped means no one, including you, can ever mint more. Uncapped means you can mint more later.
  5. Sign twice: once to create the token, once to mint the supply. Expect about 11 SOUL in data fees.

Creating a token does not make it tradeable. To let people buy it, open a pool for it in Liquidity, run a launchpad, or start a syndicate. The token page under Tokens starts showing it once it trades.
