A service is an Aetherpost profile for a business: it has a handle, a profile, staff wallets and its own posts, plus offers that anyone can buy with TAZ. Payments go straight from the buyer's wallet to the business's payout wallet in the same transaction. Saturn never holds the money.

Registering a business

  1. Open Services, Register. Pick a handle, a category and the wallet that should receive payments.
  2. Optionally add up to 9 staff wallets, up to 5 offers and a first update.
  3. Sign once. Registration costs 30 TAZ; offers cost nothing to list.

Offers

  • Every offer has a fixed price in TAZ, at least 1 TAZ, and optional stock and a per-buyer limit.
  • Pausing or editing an offer never undoes a sale already made.
  • An offer can be shared as a card in any Aetherpost post.

What a buyer pays

The listed price is what you pay, at most. Saturn's 3% fee and the business's cashback are both taken out of that price, not added on top. The business receives the rest.

Checkout locks in the price and the cashback rate you were quoted. If the business raises the price or cuts the cashback before your transaction lands, the payment fails instead of costing you more.

How cashback works

  • Cashback is paid in the business's own token. In the same transaction, the cashback share of your TAZ is swapped on the token's pool and the tokens go straight to your wallet.
  • The swap may cost at most 3% of its value, pool fee and price impact together, measured against the pool's current price.
  • Whatever part of the cashback would cost more than that is never taken from you: it stays in your wallet as TAZ, so you simply pay less.
  • If the token's pool is not usable at that moment (fee above 5%, inactive or not burned), the whole cashback stays with you in TAZ and the sale still goes through.
  • While the exchange still runs its older swap engine (version 4.4.0), every swap carries a small surcharge, twice the stakers' share of the pool fee: about 0.06% of the swapped amount on a 0.3% pool. Checkout reads the engine's version from the chain and, only while the older engine is live, shows the surcharge as its own line and counts it when it checks your balance. The updated engine charges no surcharge, and checkout then shows none.

Paying with the service token

You can also pay with the business's own token. Checkout sells just enough of your tokens on the token's burned pool to cover Saturn's fee and the business's share; the cashback share is never sold, so you keep it as the token. You set the most tokens you are willing to sell, and the payment fails rather than sell more.

Service tokens

  • A business can launch its token from Launch, service mode, in one passkey signature: 1,000,000,000 tokens with 95% going into a pool against 500, 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000 TAZ.
  • The pool's liquidity is burned, so it can never be pulled. The pool fee is 0.3%, 0.5% or 1%, so cashback swaps fit inside the 3% cost cap.
  • The other 5% stays with the launcher. It is disclosed on the service page with its live balance. It is disclosed, not locked: it can be sold, and the page shows when it has been.
  • An existing token can be linked instead, if the business owns it and it has a single burned TAZ pool with a fee of at most 5%.

The verified badge

A business can ask Saturn to verify it for 200 TAZ, which is not refunded whatever the outcome. Saturn checks control of the listed domain (a DNS record or a file on the site) and the listed social accounts. An automated summary helps, but a person decides. The badge disappears on its own if the business changes its handle or its owner, and Saturn can revoke it at any time. Next to the badge you will always see:

Verified means Saturn checked control of the listed domain and social accounts on the date shown. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee. Purchases are at your own risk. The verification fee is non-refundable.

Orders, reviews and refunds

  • An order moves from paid to accepted, delivered or cancelled by the business, and to received by the buyer.
  • The buyer can leave one review, 1 to 5 stars, from 1 hour to 90 days after paying. Reviews show the amount paid as a verified purchase.
  • There are no automatic refunds. A business may choose to refund a buyer from its own wallet, up to the order total.
  • Saturn's 3% fee is never refunded, even when the business refunds the rest.

Moderators can suspend a service that misbehaves. A suspended service cannot sell, but it can still close and refund orders buyers already paid for.

A payment cannot be reversed by Saturn. Verified is not a guarantee. Before buying, read the business's refund policy, check its reviews and look at the disclosed token slice.

Why is the fee taken from the price rather than added on top?
So the number on the offer is the number you pay. The business sets its price knowing that 3% goes to Saturn and the cashback to you.
What if the cashback swap would be too expensive?
The expensive part stays in your wallet as TAZ. You never pay more than the listed price, and often less, apart from the small swap surcharge that applies only while the exchange runs its older swap engine.
Can I get Saturn's fee back if the order goes wrong?
No. The fee is kept in every case. Only the business can refund, from its own wallet.
