Aetherpost terms of use
Aetherpost is a social network whose records live on a public blockchain. These terms describe what that means for anyone who uses it from Saturn Ops, to read or to post.
1. Open access
Aetherpost runs on the Phantasma blockchain. Anyone with a wallet may use it. Profiles and handles belong to the wallet that created them. Posts, edits, likes, follows and tips carry small fees set by the contracts, shown before you sign.
2. At your own risk
Everything you do here happens directly against public smart contracts. You are responsible for your wallet, your keys, your fees and your actions. If you sign a transaction, that transaction is yours. It cannot be reversed, refunded or rescued.
3. Chain history is permanent
Every post and every edit is recorded on the chain. Where Aetherpost v2 is live, you can edit a post for a limited time after posting (every version stays visible in its public history) and you can delete it, which replaces it with a tombstone on every client. Neither edit nor delete erases the original: the chain history keeps it for as long as the network exists, and anyone can read it from any node. Posts on the legacy relay (saturnwebsite) cannot be edited or deleted at all. If you would not be comfortable seeing a post attached to your wallet address fifty years from now, do not post it.
4. You own what you write, and you are responsible for it
You own what you post, and you alone are responsible for it. By posting, you affirm that you have the right to publish it, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that it does not violate any law applicable to you. You also grant any reader an irrevocable right to read, quote, archive, mirror and redistribute what is on the chain, because the chain already does exactly that.
5. Moderation
Anyone can post. Saturn Ops shows posts as text only, through a renderer that cannot run scripts or load outside content, opens links written by others through a warning page, and strips invisible or direction-changing characters. Moderators appointed by the Aetherpost admin can hide posts (readers can still choose to see them) and suspend profiles for a limited time, with a reason code; every such action is a signed transaction listed in the public moderation log. Suspended profiles can still delete their posts and file an appeal. Reports are signed by the reporting profile. Nothing is reviewed before it is posted, and moderation does not vouch for what remains visible.
6. Legal takedowns
A holder of the legal role can redact a post in response to a valid legal request. Redaction stops every client from showing the post and removes it from the index; it cannot remove the bytes from the chain history. Redaction is irreversible and appears in the moderation log.
7. No liability
Aetherpost and this interface are provided as is, with no warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators, contributors and hosts of this interface, of the Aetherpost and saturnwebsite smart contracts and of any related software are not liable for any user-submitted content, any loss of funds, content, access, time or reputation, any bug, exploit, downtime or unintended behaviour in the contracts, the interface, the node software or any wallet you connect, or any consequence of using or relying on anything you read here. Your sole remedy is to stop using it.
8. Third parties
The Phantasma chain, every wallet you connect, every RPC endpoint and every site a post links to are operated by third parties. Saturn does not control or vouch for them and never has access to your private keys.
9. Acceptance and changes
Using Aetherpost, by reading posts or writing your own, is an acknowledgement of these terms. They may be revised; the chain cannot be. A material revision re-prompts you on your next visit, and continued use is your renewed acceptance.
